Supreme Court 2A Rulings June 30, 2022
« on: June 30, 2022, 06:53:14 PM »
There were four big rulings from the Supreme Court today.

New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Association v Bruck
New Jersey Magazine Ban Case
Granted GVR (Grant Review, Vacate, Remand to Lower Court)

Young v Hawaii
Carry Law
Granted GVR (Grant Review, Vacate, Remand to Lower Court)

Duncan v Bonta
California Magazine Ban Case
Granted GVR (Grant Review, Vacate, Remand to Lower Court)

Bianchi v Frosh
Maryland Assault Weapon Ban
Granted GVR (Grant Review, Vacate, Remand to Lower Court)

All of these Lower Court cases have been reviewed by the Supreme Court,
their judgements have been vacated (Stripped) and sent back to
the lower Court to be retried in light of the
New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen decision, and the guidance
provided to the lower Courts, regarding that case.

Not So Fast Carney

On the very day that King Karney signs bill to evicerate our gun rights the Supreme Court has slapped
down so called assault weapon and magazine bans and sent them back to the court to use the new methodology for evaluating gun rights. That part of the New York ruling is actually the best part for us

This should be immediately taken to court for an injunction to stop the obviously illegal Delaware law.

See attached from Second Amendment Foundation.

The entire gun control regime may be collapsing.  The vacating and remanding of the Maryland case is especially good news as much of the Delaware Semi Auto ban is based on the 2013 Maryland law ( Delaware’s as amended is actually much worse due to the last minute amendment. ).  It is clear by this slew of reversals that the Supreme Court truly intends to treat the Second Amendment as a first class constitutional right.

Thank God for Justice Thomas.

But why follow through with signing these bills yesterday after all that's been going on with scotus? Is it like "we know it will not be there for long so we are gonna do it anyway till we have to repeal it"?

Maybe they think it will score them political points because "hey dems, we tried.  But those pesky repubsare the ones that are causing this harm to your fellow citizens,  blah blah."

It's like knowing a particular stretch of road is about to go from 60mph to 30mph, and when it happens you keep doing 60 until you see any cops start patrolling

Sorry to rain on your parade John and Kathy

In addition to the earth shattering overturnings and remandings yesterday by SCOTUS, 4 licensed citizens filed suit in Washington DC to overturn the ban on carry in the DC Metro system and the 9th Circuit remanded a California “assault weapons” case back to trial court.  En Banc!!   First time they have ever done that with an anti gun decision in that liberal circuit.

It’s a new day on the farm and the chickens are coming home to roost.
