I was kind of thinking this too but I'm grappling with how it sounds kind of oxymoronic

Assuming they go on rampages as part of their "greater good" that means they would have to be selfless.  But are they really?

Unless their psychosis is so strong the suicide by cop for the greater good overcomes them.  Because really how many of them think they are going to make it out alive?

After that it's a matter of brainwashing,  like mk ultra, but maybe not as harsh.  It certainly meant nothing to the taliban and isis to be promised 72 virgins and strap bombs to their chests
