Delaware: Pro-Gun Reform Bill Needs Your Help!

On Thursday, February 18, the Delaware State House introduced House Bill 357 and assigned it to the House Administration Committee.

HB 357, sponsored by State Representative John C. Atkins (D-41) and State Senator Joseph Booth (R-19), would prohibit local government agencies, entities and any housing authorities from prohibiting firearm possession. Currently many Delaware housing authorities have created policies that ban the legal possession of firearms in the home for self-defense, which if not followed, could result in eviction. HB 357 would diminish the power of the housing authorities to carry out such nonsensical and harmful policies. It would also amend Delaware Code, Title 29 by restricting the authority of public bodies to regulate firearms.

It is critical that you protect your constitutional rights by calling the State House Administration Committee and respectfully encourage them to support HB 357. Contact information can be found below.
