My wife finally agreed!
« on: March 29, 2010, 07:20:53 PM »
I've been carrying for five years.
Today, for my birthday, my wife said, "If you prepare all the paperwork, and arrange the training, I will get my CCDW permit."

I use to get them too.  Guess she figures if I'm out, I'm packin.
The other thing I tell her is, "It's a wonderful day when I can put it
away in the SAME condition I got it out."

My wife asked me that a few days after the permit arrived. We were leaving to pick up a takeout pizza, and I slipped my J-frame (in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster) into my Dockers.
She asked, sarcastically, "Do you expect to be in a firefight between here and the pizzeria?"
I replied, "No, and I'm not expecting to have a car accident either. I'll tell you what: I'll leave the gun here, and you don't fasten your seat belt."

That was the last time she ever objected to me carrying a gun.

old gray geek...  excellent!!!

My husband has never asked if I was carrying or complained if i was, etc.  He just checks if "Betty" is traveling with when we head towards NJ or MD.  :)

Glad she's coming around!

The ad has been submitted to the News Journal for publication on the 19th... tomorrow I'll schedule her fingerprint appointment... she has the five affidavits, ready for her friends to fill out... and she'll get her training within the next few weeks.

The goal is to submit her application on Friday April 30th or Monday May 3rd, filing it with her training certificate.
