Official AK 47 Thread

Here's a spot to post pictures of your AK's or pictures of AK's that you think look cool.

This is mine...  A Romanian WASR-10/63.  Not the best AK in the world, but it works fine.

Yeah, with his big fat finger right on the trigger!!  :o  LOL!

Hey Remington, I'm currently in the market for one- hope to find a cheaply priced russian made AK. I'll post it when I find it! Seems like the many variants are much more available (and cheaper)- I really don't know all the ins and outs yet, but I'm studying! I haven't seen one yet, but don't you think I could find a used/older russian made one for under $500? Or should I be looking for something from another country for that price?

Any advice on it would be appreciated! Pete D.---

Just picked up a wasr-10!  I see that most ranges dont let you fire the 7.62x39 round. I was told that ommelanden  allows it does anyone know if this is true. Also does anyone know of other ranges that allow it. During the summer I have a farm to shoot on but I want to shoot indoors in the winter. Thanks for the help in advance.

I prefer mine with a slightly larger bore:

Sweet OldGray!
I saw a YouTube video of some Russian guy shooting the 12 gauge AK rifle in full auto. Awesome.

G23, you can shoot 7.62x39 at Ommelanden but brass only, not steel case. Also the rifle range is only 50 yes, and is not indoors, technically.

To edit my statement, they don't care about the case. They check the bullet with a magnet. If it sticks, then no go. I've shot 7.62x39 there recently.

I got to play with this AK and really want to buy one just like it.  Does anyone have a cautionary tale to tell before I commit?

Caution:  you might have a harder time passing this off to your wife as "What?? this thing??  I've had this one for years"...   so bring it in the house when she's not looking.  LOL

I think you'll like it.  No caution from my end.
