Agreed! It's surprising what I can bring in 'if the wife likes it'. She likes the AR style however doesn't like the AK style and knows I don't have one.

My wife being Russian, there's no way I could slip a real Kalashnikov past her disguised as a plastic Barbie gun AR.

How things happen.  My bride was feeling awful cause I was just released from Bay Health with a rusty mainspring.  A friend stopped over to see how I was doing and brought his Romanian Model 70.

After he left I moped around talking about how short life is and an AK would really make me feel better.

Long story short.  I'm getting an AK!

I've had a Romanian AK-47 for a few yrs now. It's fun to shoot & just plane works all the time. Much more accurate than I thought too.

How far we have fallen!  Sick/lame/lazy sob story!  The nice gentleman wearing a campaign hat never would have bought that plea! :). Aw, shucks. Enjoy.

@Obleo, glad to hear that you were released, hope that the rusty mainspring prognosis is good. I'm sure that a little rat-a-tat-tat will be like a little WD-40 on the mainspring.

Well asked the wife which she
Likes better and showed her a milled receiver Ak and a 30+ year old Colt AR.  She liked the AK. Methinks it's the wood.

She actually likes to shoot my Mini 14 best.
