MAking Progress I guess!

Got a call from a friend today he said he had recieved a phone call from someone regarding my ccw app...He was one of my refs so I guess they have started my process! I turned my app in late May so it seems to me 6 months will probably be about right...any thoughts?

Its a good sign, that shows they've atleast pulled your app from the pile....ofcourse, now its in another pile :). I don't know if anybody knows where in the process they start calling references, so they may have just gotten your app or they could be ready to send their letter to the judge.

Hm, that's interesting.

As far as I know, none of my refs were called. I wonder if this is new, or is it SOP?

If it is new, that might explain the delay that new applications are suffering...

I applied in mid-April - haven't heard a peep from anyone about anything. At the end of the month I will call them...

Never contacted any of my references & it took closer to 7 months. Remember thay get paid for showing up, not for the amount of work they do & unless that changes it'll never get better.

I applied April 18th and on July 18th at work a "Representative of the Wilmington Attorny Generals office" called my co-worker and asked her several questions about me while I sat next to her.  They asked a lot of questions to confirm that she knew me well and then asked if I wasn't crazy.  So looks like 3 months to get to this point.  Maybe another three more and I'll have a permit.  Was a big lift to my morale knowing they are at least making progress.

yeah i agree, atleazst i know my app isnt sitting in a pile..well atleast notg the first pile it was in!
