There are several other pro-gun groups out there, but none of them have the power of the NRA. I’ve stepped it up from Annual to Life, to Endowment, to Patron, to Benefactor. And they still want more money from me.
I’ve disagreed with them on many things, but while many of its members are still splintered, the organization itself pretty much (finally) backs ALL weapons. Bolt actions and Class III are viewed on the same platform. They back national reciprocity, which is a good thing. They have a tremendous amount of resources that are available to you.
I don’t have any of their bumper stickers on my vehicles, I don’t wear any of the clothing that they have given me, I don’t put any signs up in the front yard, and (again) I have not agreed with every decision that they made – but I whole-heartedly support them.
