I sort of hate to admit it but the cheap/ugly Hi-Point carbines have been on my mind as a possible home-defense gun. With prices starting in the low $200's, the 9mm, .40 and new .45 have my attention. And reviews of functionality and dependability have been very good. Last, they have an excellant warranty and reputation for good customer service....Has anyone actually fired one?
