Any interest in a Utah permit class????
« on: November 19, 2010, 12:58:23 PM »
Hello all!

I asked this once before and there wasn't much interest, but I figured that I'd ask again. I'm looking to see how many folks would be interested in attending a Utah permit class to get the Utah non-resident carry permit. By my math, it looks like a Utah permit would add about 10 states of reciprocity to what your Delaware permit already offers....

anyone interested?

I think a lot of us have non resident permits for PA and FL. A non resident Utah permit would only give one more state, Minnesota.
How much is the class, and does anyone know how much the Utah permit is?

Thanks

The cost of the class will likely vary depending upon the what the instructor charges.

The cost of the permit is much more affordable than Florida:
$65.25 for a new permit (link: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/CFnewapp.html) + fingerprints and photo costs
Good for 5 years
$10.00 to renew (link: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/CFrenew.html)

And to add to the renewal info, it's for 5 years too @ $10.00.

Our cost for the Utah class is $85.00

As has been posted, the Utah permit fee is $65.25 and renewals are $10.00. It is a much cheaper permit to maintain than Florida, and the Utah class does not require live fire (which Florida does).

If we can get a good number of folks interested (20-25+), we'll be happy to schedule a class in Delaware.
