Is there anyone local who does slide re finishing? I don't want to have to send my gun out, I would rather drop it off and pick it up.

Suggest checking with local Gun Store like Smyrna Sporting Goods, or look in the Yellow Pages.

Check out
www.mrarms.com
. They refinished my Kimber 1911. Did a great job. Plenty of colors to choose from. Turn around time was about two weeks.
I did have to ship the gun to them and they shipped it back.
